About Project C

Greetings and Welcome to Project C

“So, what in the world is this Project C thing anyway?”

Well I’m glad you asked.

First, please allow me to introduce myself… I’m Clyde Lee Dennis and I’ve been bumping around here on the internet since way back in December 1998 when I put up my first website.

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a deep and unyielding thirst for growing and learning. Specifically and in particular growth as it relates to my own self improvement.

In fact that first website was called ‘Life it Up’ and was all about exactly that. Adding life to things, specifically my own life. Although Life it Up faded into the abyss that is internet history just a couple of years into the project I’ve been working on my own self improvement without ceasing all the while.

Always holding onto the idea that once I reached a point where I was comfortable with my own progress and development I would take up studying the subject as my vocation.

Well as the days and months have turned into years I’ve come to the conclusion that waiting until I get to a comfortable point is the exact opposite of who and what I am, or at the very least what I wish to be. One of the things I’ve come to understand is growth that matters happens most often in moments and times when I’m uncomfortable. This understanding has actually led me to develop a sort of comfort with being uncomfortable.

So with that clear waiting is no longer an option. I’ve determined the thing to do is make my own self, and life improvement quest an open project.

A project called, C…

I should make this point here and now, Project C is not for everyone. In fact I accept that it may very well turn out that it’s not for anyone… but me.

What I mean is the information you’re going to find here is not necessarily meant to make you laugh or cry or even feel. Frankly, I don’t care about any of that. All of those things are completely out of my control (and completely within yours) anyway.

What I’ve taken on as my responsibility is to do the experiments that are mine to do and simply report my findings. Period. Choosing to read and possibly learn from my experiments in growth and learning is your responsibility. And how my providing the information strikes you, again your responsibility.

I have no real master plan for how things will unfold, and that in actuality is part of the allure. As you’ll discover I have a wide and it seems ever expanding range of interests and ideas and I intend to simply record as much of these as I can in pixels.

I will say that one of the things I hope to accomplish with Project C is to get you to think.

No, I mean really think.

Think like you’ve never thought before about the real responsibility you have to yourself.

Now pour yourself a serving of your favorite beverage, pull up a chair and snoop around a bit. It’s my sincere hope that you’ll stick around long enough to reach a point where you feel a little uncomfortable. (No that’s not a typo)

Perhaps you’ve already reached that point? ;) If so congratulations, you’ve discovered the very essence of Project C

Live some. Love some. Learn some, everyday.

C…
